FAQ

Do eyelash extensions ruin your natural lashes?

No, eyelash extensions should never ruin your natural lashes when applied properly by a trained professional.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
I would always recommend an infill every 2-3 weeks when having Eyelash extensions, but this always depends on your natural lash shed and aftercare.

How do I look after my eyelash extensions?

I always provide an aftercare leaflet after any new treatment which provides all the information you should need. But the top main aftercare tips are:
Do not get the lashes wet for at least 24 hours.
Clean them with a lash cleanser regularly.
Do not wear any mascara on your lashes.
When using eye liner always use pencil as some ingredients in liquid eyeliner can break down the glue.
When showering try and avoid getting the lashes wet too often.
Brush them daily.
Make sure to get infills every 2-3 weeks to keep them healthy and fresh.

My lashes seem to failing out more than usual

That is normal, don’t panic! This is what we call a lash shed season.
In a similar way that animals lose their heavy coat for the hotter weather, as humans, we also shed our hair (including our lashes) for the change in temperatures to come. Summer weather can cause some clients’ skin to sweat and produce more oils which will affect retention, and Winter weather with its lower humidity levels can cause lashes to become more brittle and fall out easier. In a regular lash shed cycle, we can lose up to 5-7 natural lashes per day, however this can increase dramatically in Spring and Autumn in preparation for the temperature changes. This is what’s referred to as ‘Lash Shedding Season’.
The loss of lashes often goes unnoticed for people without lash extensions as the natural lashes are so fine, but when you have individual lash extensions or fans attached to your natural lashes, it can become more noticeable.

Im pregnant, can I still get my lashes done?

Yes you normally can get your lashes done whilst you are pregnant as many other professionals carry out treatments during pregnancy. However there are slightly higher risks for a reaction to occur.
My clients safety is my top priority, due to the slightly higher risks for pregnant women (although the risks are quite unlikely), it’s in my professional opinion that I do not recommend that any of my treatments are to be carried out whilst you are pregnant.
But I’d be more than happy to see you once you’ve had your beautiful baby!
